Mobile application and website for an anti-counterfeit system
Fake goods — a key issue of modern consumption behaviours. Yearly sales of counterfeits are estimated at $600 billion (2018).
I led product design and strategy. I was solely responsible for creating the entire end-to-end design for the app and the website.
The service was based on a blockchain platform which solves credibility concerns. Our startup was dedicated to giving people the medium to avoid fake products and check authenticity by scanning the item's label or receipt.
Our team designed and released the website and mobile app. As a result, we got $1M as the seed capital. After a while, our product was acquired by another company that focused on QR tracing for manufacturers.
The main screen shows the transaction feed and balance. Tapping on the balance opens the finance summary. After a user scans the QR code on an item, depending on what our system returns, we can get three different results.
The spending section allows users to redeem bonuses in some partnership shops. We were also integrated with a charity partner, and users can donate bonuses. The charity section allows users to switch on auto-donation.
I've also designed the website. The best way to present the final design is to show the released product. Currently, the website is left as a souvenir because another business has acquired our startup, and the OIN space is shut down.
